Ph.d- defense: Piglet mortalilty in Danish organic pig production

Lena Rangstrup-Christensen will defend her Ph.d. 3 November 2017. The study is the first large scale study investigating risk factors for piglet mortality and causes of death within a commercial organic production setting and new knowledge has been generated with a potential to lower piglet mortality in the future.

Ditte Søvsø Gundelund Nielsen has conducted research on the effect of the enzyme protein kinase D1 (PKD1) in relation to inflammatory bowel diseases that are characterized by wounds and inflammation along the gastrointestinal tract.

Lene Munksgaard is the recipient of the 2017 Aarhus University Anniversary Foundation Research Communication Prize

Professor Lene Munksgaard is the recipient of the 2017 Aarhus University Anniversary Foundation Research Communication Prize in recognition of outstanding and groundbreaking communication of knowledge from the university to society. The prize is accompanied by a DKK 100,000 monetary Award.
